Osteodegenerative Arthritis feels like a toothache in your joints. If you suffer with this terrible affliction that pains you every time you move, you’re probably anxious to find out how to get rid of it.
Before we get to the part on reversing Osteodegenerative Arthritis, let’s start with some definitions and erroneous causes:
Arthritis is a generic term defined as an inflammation of joints due to many possible causes; such as trauma, infections or metabolic (based on metabolism) diseases. Osteodegenerative Arthritis is a joint inflammation that affects your feet, knees, hips, spine and jaw and results in the degeneration of your joints’ cartilage.
There’s no specific blood test that establishes this diagnosis, but radiographs demonstrate the irregular collapsing of your joint spaces, which is the result of the erosion (thinning) of your joint’s cartilage. If your cartilage erodes down to nothing, your underlying bone will also start to erode, which makes it even harder to move your joint(s) without feeling pain.
If you talk with your doctor, they’ll most likely tell you that Osteodegenerative Arthritis ( if not directly due to injury or disease) is a natural result of aging. I don’t agree. In my 45 years of clinical experience, I’ve seen Osteodegenerative Arthritis in children as young as 10 years old, who have no history of joint injury and the absence of Osteodegenerative Arthritis in octogenarians, who have a history of joint injury.
Affecting the young and the old, Osteodegenerative Arthritis is pandemic, so we need to clarify why so many people suffer from this painful joint disease.
Thirty years ago, I thought that Osteodegenerative Arthritis was a misalignment problem. Like a tire wearing unevenly on a car that has bad alignment; when a weight bearing joint is misaligned, the cartilage in the joint wears more on one side than the other.
But as logical as the above sounds, it still doesn’t answer the question; why is the weight bearing joint misaligned if not due to injury or disease?
My question was answered when I discovered two inherited, abnormal foot structures – Rothbarts Foot and PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity.
Both of these common foot structures have a dramatic and deleterious impact on your body’s posture. Bad posture misaligns your weight bearing joints, resulting in an uneven compression of the cartilaginous caps in these joints.
For example; if you have bad posture, your knee joint will have more pressure exerted on the inside of your knee than the outside. This pressure compresses the cartilage on the inside of your knee joint.
Reversing Osteodegenerative Arthritis
When your abnormal foot structure is effectively treated, your posture and joint alignment are permanently improved and the asymmetrical compression of your weight bearing joints is reversed. The previously compressed cartilage regenerates and expands, regaining its’ symmetry from side to side, which is the hallmark of a healthy joint.
So the answer to getting rid of Osteogenerative Arthritis lies in permanently improving your posture. As the inflammation in your joints goes away and once again you can move with ease, life takes on a rosier air.
Reading the Curing Chronic Pain website will give you more information about the abnormal foot structures Professor/Dr. Rothbart discovered that cause many forms of chronic muscle and joint pain and help you determine whether an Initial Phone Consultation with him might be helpful.
